The lymphatic system stagnates for many reasons, such as chronic inflammation, swelling, lack of regular physical activity, stress, fatigue and environmental factors. When it does this, our immune system overreacts and creates symptoms of seasonal allergies.

If you experience allergy symptoms in the spring, we have three different services that are very effective in fighting these symptoms!

Whole Body Cryotherapy has been used in Europe for decades as a prevention for allergy symptoms. For the 7 years that Cryo Spa has been open here in Bucks County, we have seen a lot of good results with Cryotherapy in easing allergy symptoms!

As for any systemic impact, the most success is reached with a package of 10 Cryotherapy sessions ($35 x session) done with frequency once a day or once every other day. We have also seen good results with people committing to 5 sessions of Cryotherapy done with the same frequency.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage is another effective way of addressing seasonal allergies.

This non-invasive and oftentimes pleasurable specialty massage is known to speed up lymphatic circulation tenfold, cleansing our body from toxins and

The best option for a Lymphatic Drainage Massage for allergy prevention is having 5 Lymphatic Drainage Massage sessions ($75 x session) with 3 sessions done in a period of 2 weeks followed with 2 sessions done once a week. Good results are also often reached with only 3 sessions of Lymphatic Drainage Massage done in a period of 2 weeks.

Compression Therapy is another option to create a positive impact on our immune system. It is a machine operated Lymphatic Drainage device ($50 x session). The recommended frequency and number of procedures is the same as for a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage.

Stress describes the pressures we all face every day – physical, emotional, mental or even chemical. It activates your sympathetic nervous system, releasing stress hormones throughout your body, and this makes you ready to handle a sudden stressful event. It prepares you to take emergency action.

But when there’s no relief from stress, no down time, that’s when it becomes a problem. Then it becomes “distress,” which is a negative stress reaction.

But there are ways to manage and alleviate stress. Take a break and schedule the most helpful spa treatment for the specific type of stress you are facing.

1. Anxiety
Schedule a Shiatsu Massage or Reflexology (foot massage) which can bring down stress levels and increase vitality. Or try an Aromatherapy Massage with lavender, which is thought to reduce the negative effects of stress hormones such as cortisol.

2. Tense Muscles
Consider scheduling a BioMat Detox session which is similar to visiting a steam room or a sauna. The BioMat Detox features a high quality infrared heating mat which helps relax and intensify the release of tense muscles. During the session, your body recognizes the increased temperature as a fever and responds by producing more white blood cells, which can also help boost your immune system.

3. Body Aches

These can be reduced through Shiatsu Massage and stretching. Our practitioners will help you do away with those body aches while providing necessary stretches for you to be able to do on your own.

4. Insomnia or other sleep problems
Schedule a Cryotherapy session. Exposing our bodies to subarctic temperatures has been shown to be extremely effective in giving us much needed rest. On top of this, Cryotherapy has helped many recover from injuries and debilitating pain.

5. Headaches
Reserve a Shiatsu Massage or even a TMJ Massage which focuses on the neck, shoulders and head. These sessions can help decrease the discomfort and pain of tension and migraine headaches.

6. Skin Problems
Whole Body Cryotherapy helps by bringing oxygenated rich blood back to the surface of our skin which in turn helps repair damaged areas. Extended exposure to this extreme cold can tighten and improve the quality of skin over time.

7. Impatience or short temper
Shiatsu Massage increases your level of serotonin, the hormone that makes you happy and causes you to have a positive outlook. Smelling a fragrance during an Aromatherapy Treatment causes your olfactory receptors to send a message to your limbic system, which deals with your instincts, moods and emotions.

8. Back Pain
People have used Hot Stone Therapy in conjunction with Shiatsu Massage since ancient times. Usually, heated basalt river rocks are used because they retain heat and are smooth. They warm, relax and soothe aching muscles. Shiatsu sessions have a strong balancing impact on your body, structurally balancing our bones through our muscles.

Don’t let stress get the best of you. We offer solutions to help you!

Did you know that eating 1 cup of blueberries a day helps fight stress and reduces anxiety just about as well as many anti-anxiety medications? (Annoying side effects not included!)

Blueberries contain high levels of the antioxidant ellagic acid which soothes the brain much like Valium. They also contain compounds similar to a variety of mood-stabilizing medications.
